Theme: Universal Access to Reproductive Health Services: Re-energizing family planning in Zimbabwe

UNFPA in Zimbabwe in support of the Government is sponsoring the commemoration of the World Poulation Day. With the world’s population surpassing 7 billion, the theme was chosen as a way to re-energize commitments towards universal access to reproductive health and recognize those who provide information, services and supplies. This year’s commemoration also coincides with the International Family Planning (FP) Summit which is going to be held on 11 of July in London. It is aimed at launching a global movement to give an additional 120 million women in the world’s poorest countries access to lifesaving family planning information, services and supplies by 2020.

The commemoration is going to be held on the 11th of July from 09:00 hours to 13:00 hours at the Zimbabwe National Family Planning Council at Spilhaus Center, Harare Hospital Grounds, off Highfield Road.
