Welcome to the website of the United Nations System in Zimbabwe. This website serves as a platform for timely, reliable and reciprocal information sharing on the contributions and commitments of the UN system, in collaboration with its partners, to ensure sustainable development results in Zimbabwe.
Through this website, and other communication network, the UN organizations in Zimbabwe will continue to engage and inform all concerned partners and stakeholders on UN work and updates on policy, analyses, news stories, latest publications, reports and best practices and achievements of development results.
In this regard, the UN system in Zimbabwe has been providing a coordinated, focused, and coherent response to national development priorities through the Zimbabwe United Nations Development Assistance Framework (ZUNDAF) for the period of 2012-2015 (2013 UN Supported National Development Results & 2014 ZUNDAF Snapshot). Moreover, the UN and Government, together with Development Partners, are currently engaged to develop a new ZUNDAF for the 2016-2020 cycle to continue providing well-coordinated support for the achievement of the 2013-2018 Zimbabwe Agenda for Sustainable Socio-Economic Transformation (Zim Asset) as well as the Post-2015 Development Agenda.
In implementing UN supported programmes, particular attention will be paid to establishing and strengthening partnerships, under the leadership of Government institutions and in collaboration with development partners, including bilateral and multilateral donors, non-governmental organisations, civil society organisations and the private sector.
The UN system looks forward to further engaging with its partners to maximise impact, capitalise on the strengths and comparative advantages of different stakeholders, and ensure the complementarity of support.
